Effective date: October 16, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Ateculus LLC, doing business as Ateculus Cloud (“Ateculus”, “we”, “us”), collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to this website (ateculus.com), the control panel at portal.ateculus.com, and our hosting services.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us:
- Account information: your name, email address, password, and your company or organization name if you provide one.
- Billing information: your billing address and details of your plans, invoices, and payments. Card payments are handled by our payment processor. We do not receive or store your full card number; we see only limited details such as the card brand, last four digits, and expiry date.
- Affiliate information: if you join our affiliate program, your payout choices and payout history. If you choose cash payouts, Stripe collects your identity, bank, and tax details directly when you set up your payout account. We see only whether that account is ready to receive payouts, not your bank or tax ID numbers.
- Messages: what you send through the contact form on this website (your name, email address, and message) and through support tickets in the control panel.
- Team and client details: if you invite team members, or you are an agency and add clients, the names and email addresses you enter for them.
Information collected automatically:
- Log and device information: IP address, browser type, the pages or resources requested, and the date and time of each request.
- Security information: records of sign-in attempts and of requests that look abusive, including the IP address they came from.
- Account activity: actions taken in the control panel, such as creating a website or changing a setting, so that we can provide an activity history and investigate problems.
- Cookies: see our Cookie Information page.
We do not use advertising trackers on this website or in the control panel.
2. Content you host with us
Your websites, files, databases, and backups may contain personal information about your own visitors and customers. You decide what that information is and how it is used. We process it only to provide the hosting service to you, and we do not use it for our own purposes. If you have a question about information held by a website hosted with us, please contact the owner of that website.
3. How we use information
- To create and manage your account and provide the Services.
- To bill you, collect payment, and calculate taxes.
- To send service messages, such as receipts, renewal and payment notices, security alerts, and notices of changes to our terms.
- To answer your questions and provide support.
- To keep the Services secure, and to detect, investigate, and prevent abuse and fraud.
- To maintain and improve the Services.
- To comply with the law and enforce our agreements.
We send marketing email only if you have asked for it, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share it only as follows:
- Service providers that help us run the Services, under agreements that limit how they may use it. These include our payment processor (Stripe), our content delivery and security provider (Cloudflare, which also provides the anti-spam check on our forms), our cloud infrastructure and storage providers, the certificate authority that issues SSL certificates for your domains (Let’s Encrypt), and our email delivery provider.
- Address checks. If address checking is turned on, the billing address you enter when you sign up is sent to Google to confirm that it is a real, deliverable address. To check that a ZIP code matches its city, we use a ZIP code list from GeoNames that we keep on our own servers, so that check sends nothing to anyone else. ZIP code data © GeoNames (geonames.org), licensed under CC BY 4.0.
- Your organization. If your account belongs to an organization or an agency, its owners and administrators can see the account’s users and activity.
- Legal reasons. We may disclose information if we believe in good faith that it is required by law, a subpoena, or a court order, or that it is needed to protect the rights, property, or safety of Ateculus, our customers, or others.
- Business transfers. If Ateculus is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will tell you before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
5. How long we keep information
- Account information is kept while your account is open.
- Hosted content is deleted when the plan it belongs to ends, as described in our Refund and Cancellation Policy.
- Invoices and payment records are kept for as long as tax and accounting rules require.
- Logs and security records are kept for a limited time and then deleted or made anonymous, unless we need them longer to investigate an incident.
- Contact form messages are kept for as long as needed to respond and to keep a record of the conversation.
6. Security
We use technical and organizational measures to protect personal information, including encrypted connections, isolated hosting accounts, and restricted staff access. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the security of information. You are responsible for keeping your passwords and backup passphrases safe.
7. Your choices and rights
- You can view and update your account and billing information in the control panel.
- You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. We will respond within the time the law requires. We may need to verify your identity first, and we may keep information that we are required by law to keep, such as invoices.
- Depending on the state you live in, you may have additional rights under that state’s privacy law, including the right to appeal a decision we make about your request. We will not treat you differently for using any of these rights.
To make a request, use the Contact page or email [email protected].
8. Where information is processed
The Services are offered to customers in the United States, and we process and store information in the United States.
9. Children
The Services are not directed to children, and you must be at least 18 years old to open an account. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. We will post the updated version here with a new effective date and, if a change is material, we will also notify account holders by email or in the control panel.
11. Contact
