Effective date: October 13, 2026
This Acceptable Use Policy describes what may not be hosted on or done with Ateculus Cloud services. It is part of our Terms of Service and applies to every customer, to the websites and applications they host, and to anyone who uses their account. Its purpose is to keep the platform safe, lawful, and reliable for everyone who shares it.
1. Illegal, harmful, or abusive content
You may not use the Services to host, store, distribute, or link to:
- content or activity that is illegal where you are or in the United States;
- child sexual abuse material, or any sexual content involving minors;
- intimate images shared without the consent of the person shown;
- content that infringes someone else’s copyright, trademark, or other rights, including pirated software, media, or license keys;
- fraud, scams, phishing pages, fake login pages, or content that impersonates another person or organization in order to deceive;
- content that threatens, harasses, or incites violence against people or groups;
- the unlawful sale of controlled substances, weapons, or other regulated goods; or
- personal information published in order to harass someone or to enable identity theft.
2. Security
You may not use the Services to:
- host or distribute malware, viruses, ransomware, or command and control systems;
- gain or attempt to gain unauthorized access to any system, account, or network, including ours and other customers’;
- scan, probe, or test the vulnerability of any system without the permission of its owner. Do not test our platform without our written permission;
- intercept or monitor data or traffic that is not yours;
- take part in denial of service attacks or any activity intended to disrupt a system or network; or
- bypass or disable the security controls, limits, or isolation of the platform.
You are responsible for keeping your websites and their software secure and up to date. If a website is compromised, we may suspend it to protect the platform until it has been cleaned.
3. Email and messaging
- Do not send unsolicited bulk or commercial messages (spam), or host websites that are advertised by spam.
- Do not forge or hide the sender or origin of a message.
- Messages your website sends, such as account and order notifications, must comply with the CAN-SPAM Act and other laws that apply.
- Do not do anything that causes our IP addresses or domains to be listed on an abuse or block list.
4. Resource use
Hosting plans share infrastructure, so one website must not degrade the service for others. You may not:
- run cryptocurrency miners;
- run open proxies, VPN or Tor exit nodes, file sharing or torrent services, game servers, or public mail relays;
- use a hosting plan mainly as file storage, as a backup destination for other systems, or as a download mirror unrelated to the website;
- run processes that consume a disproportionate share of processor, memory, disk, or network resources for long periods; or
- get around the storage, bandwidth, or other allowances of your plan, for example by spreading one website across several plans.
If a website affects other customers, we may limit its resources while we contact you about a fix or an upgrade.
5. Agencies and resellers
If you are an agency, you are responsible for making sure your clients and their websites follow this policy. We will normally contact you, not your client, about a problem, and you are responsible for resolving it.
6. Reporting abuse
To report a website hosted with us that you believe violates this policy, use the Contact page or email [email protected]. Please include the website address, a description of the problem, and any evidence you have, such as full message headers for spam.
To report copyright infringement, include your contact details, a description of the copyrighted work, the exact address of the material you believe infringes it, a statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorized, and a statement, under penalty of perjury, that your report is accurate and that you are the owner of the rights or authorized to act for the owner.
7. Enforcement
We may investigate suspected violations, though we do not monitor customer content as a matter of routine. If we find a violation, we may, depending on how serious and how urgent it is:
- contact you and ask you to fix the problem within a stated time;
- remove or disable access to the content;
- limit or suspend the website or the account; or
- terminate the account.
Where there is a risk of harm to others or to the platform, or where the law requires it, we may act immediately and without notice. We may report illegal activity to law enforcement and cooperate with lawful requests. Fees are not refunded when a service is suspended or terminated for a violation of this policy.
8. Changes
We may update this policy as new kinds of abuse appear. The current version is always on this page.
