Effective date: October 26, 2026
These are the plain-language rules for referring customers to Ateculus Cloud through our affiliate program, which is operated by Ateculus LLC (“Ateculus”, “we”, “us”).
1. Who can take part
Every Ateculus hosting customer and agency is an affiliate automatically. Anyone else can apply; we review each application and may decline it.
2. What you earn, and what your referrals get
- You earn a commission (currently 100% by default; your own rate is shown in the Affiliates section of the control panel) of the full plan price of a new customer’s first payment only, before their referral discount and excluding tax. If they pay yearly, the commission is worked out on one month’s price of their plan, not the yearly price. Renewals and later purchases don’t earn a commission.
- The customer you refer gets a discount (currently 5% by default) on that first payment only. If they pay yearly, the discount is worked out on one month’s price of their plan.
- A referral counts only when someone signs up as a brand-new customer using your link or code. Existing customers ordering more don’t count. Each customer can be referred by one affiliate only: the first one whose code is used at sign-up.
- One code per order: your referral code can’t be combined with a promo code.
- We may change the default rates. A change only applies to referrals made after it.
3. When a commission counts
A commission counts once the customer you referred has made their second payment (their first renewal) and 30 days have passed since their first payment. Then it becomes available to you. If they pay yearly, there is no second payment to wait for: it counts once 30 days have passed since their first payment.
- For a monthly customer, if the second payment isn’t made within 14 days of falling due, for example because they cancel, the commission is cancelled.
- If the first payment is disputed (a chargeback) or refunded before the commission counts, it is cancelled too.
- Referrals made before October 26, 2026 keep the rule they were made under: a 30-day hold after the first payment.
4. Getting paid
- Cash: once your available balance is at least $50, you can cash out your whole available balance.
- Payout account: cash payouts are made through Stripe Connect. Before your first cash payout you set up a Stripe Express payout account by completing Stripe’s onboarding, which collects your identity details, your tax form (W-9, or W-8BEN outside the US) and your bank account. Stripe holds those details securely. Ateculus never receives your tax identification number or your bank details.
- Outside the US: cash payouts are only available in countries Stripe can pay out to, and may not be available to affiliates outside the US. If they aren’t available to you, you can still use your earnings as hosting credit.
- Tax reporting: cash payouts are reported to the IRS (for example on Form 1099) where the law requires it, using the tax details collected by Stripe.
- Hosting credit: from $25, you can turn earnings into promotional hosting credit on any Ateculus account. Credit has no cash value and can’t be refunded or withdrawn.
- Payouts and credits are reviewed and approved by our billing team.
5. How you may promote Ateculus
- Disclose your commission. Whenever you share your link or code, say clearly that you earn a commission (for example “I earn a commission if you sign up through my link”), as the U.S. Federal Trade Commission requires.
- No bidding on our name. Don’t bid on “Ateculus” or misspellings of it in search or social ads, and don’t use our name in ad copy or domain names in a way that suggests you are Ateculus.
- No spam. No unsolicited email, messages or comments, and nothing that breaks the law or another platform’s rules.
- No self-referrals. You can’t earn a commission on your own account, your company’s, or one paid for with your card. We block these automatically.
- Don’t make claims about Ateculus that aren’t true, and don’t offer cash back or other incentives we haven’t approved.
6. Fraud and withheld earnings
We may withhold, cancel or reverse earnings that come from fraud, self-referral, abuse of these terms, or chargebacks, and we may suspend or close an affiliate account that breaks these terms. A dispute on a referred customer’s first payment after its commission was released is reviewed by our team.
7. Refunds and everything else
Our Terms of Service still apply in full, including that payments are not refundable (see our Refund and Cancellation Policy). We may change or end this program at any time; earnings already available when it ends will still be paid under these terms.
